Music

Our Music Director and Organist, Fran Garrepy is a very talented muscian. Her expertise will help support the Liturgy and impliment the documents of the Second Vatican Council and the latest Liturgy and music documents coming from the Holy See. Fran formed a  choir that has become very proficient in supporting the sacred action.  The choir preforms an annual Christmas Concert of sacred music and hymns.

THE PARISH CHOIR

The Holy Ghost Parish Choir is always seeking new members.  The choir sings each Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. Mass.  They also take part in Holy Days of Obligation, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, and other special liturgies of great importance. No audition is required.  The only pre-requisites are:

  1. A love of singing
  2. A strong appreciation for sacred song.
  3. The ability to hold a tune
  4. A minor commitment of your time.

Choirs are traditionally formed in parishes to enhance the liturgy, via support and leading of congregational singing, and via a rich tradition of sacred choral works.  Please consider being part of this sacred tradition.  If you would like to join the choir, please see Fran.

INSTRUMENTALISTS If you  play an instrument (brass, timpani, string/violin, etc.) we would be most grateful for your talent for special liturgies (Christmas, Easter and maybe more).  Auditions for proven proficiency (playing, sight reading) on your instrument will be required.  Please see Fran after any of the weekend Masses.
