Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in the United States in 1882, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus.

There are more than 1.8 million members in 15,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to “practical Catholic” men aged 18 or older.

The Fr. Joseph Boehr Council, No. 4753, held it’s first meeting on May 21, 1959 at the American Legion Hall in Tiverton with 85 charter members and have continued strong for over 50 years.

Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life. If you would like to learn more, or join our council, please call (401) 624-4924
