Our Music Director and Organist, Fran Garrepy, is a gifted musician whose expertise enriches our parish liturgy. She works to faithfully implement the vision of the Church and the most recent liturgical and musical directives from the Holy See. Under her leadership, the parish choir has grown into a dedicated and proficient group that greatly enhances the sacred action of the Mass. Occasionally, the choir also presents a Christmas Concert of sacred music and hymns, which has become a cherished tradition in our parish.
THE PARISH CHOIR
The Holy Ghost Parish Choir is always welcoming new members!
The choir sings every Sunday at the 9:00 a.m. Mass and also takes part in Holy Days of Obligation, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, and other important parish liturgies. No audition is required—just a willing heart and voice.
Requirements:
- A love of singing
- An appreciation for sacred music
- The ability to hold a tune
- A modest commitment of time
Parish choirs have long been formed to uplift the sacred liturgy: by supporting and leading congregational singing, and by carrying forward the Church’s rich treasury of sacred choral works. Please consider joining this noble and beautiful tradition. To learn more or to join, please speak with Fran.
INSTRUMENTALISTS
If you play an instrument—brass, strings, timpani, or otherwise—we would be very grateful for your talent at special liturgies such as Christmas, Easter, and other solemn celebrations. Auditions will be required to demonstrate proficiency in playing and sight-reading. Interested instrumentalists are asked to see Fran after any weekend Mass.
If you are interested, see Fran before or after Mass.
