Rooted in the heart of Tiverton, Rhode Island, Holy Ghost Catholic Church is a vibrant and faithful parish dedicated to proclaiming the timeless truths of the Catholic faith and leading souls to Jesus Christ. We are deeply rooted in the sacred tradition of the Church, drawing from her rich spiritual heritage to form a community centered on prayer, the sacraments, and the works of mercy. Our life together flows from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, celebrated in both the Ordinary Form and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite with reverence and fidelity to the Church’s liturgical tradition.
We offer the Extraordinary Form to give the faithful a profound sense of the timelessness of our faith. Although we live in 2025, we remain deeply connected to our ancestors and the saints through the Mass of the Ages and the living, unbroken traditions of our Church. We treasure the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist, offering Him loving adoration and reparation in Our Lady Queen of Peace Adoration Chapel throughout the week.
We are strongly faithful to our Holy Father, the Pope, whom we recognize as the Vicar of Christ on earth and the visible sign of the Church’s unity. We pray earnestly for his strength and courage to renew and reform the Church, making her ever stronger and more faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ.
We also have a strong devotion to the Holy Ghost, our parish patron, that He may possess us, use us, and transform us into an army of saints—leading others to the Father, through Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our parish is deeply Marian, honoring Our Lady under her many titles and seeking her intercession daily. We keep alive the Church’s cherished devotions: the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the First Saturday devotion, novenas to the saints, and seasonal devotions such as the May Crowning, Corpus Christi procession, and Stations of the Cross. We also embrace the sacramental life fully—frequent Confession, Baptisms, Confirmations, Marriages, and the Anointing of the Sick—forming disciples who live their Catholic faith in every aspect of life.
Through catechesis, outreach, and works of mercy, we strive to be a parish where faith is alive, tradition is cherished, and every soul is welcomed home. Whether you are visiting, returning to the Church, or seeking a spiritual family, we invite you to encounter Christ in the liturgy, in the sacraments, and in a community united by prayer, service, and love.
We’re glad you’re here—welcome home!
