Dr. Sheila Kuzmic is a wife, mother, and retired pediatrician from Westerly, R.I. She completed her medical training at Georgetown University Medical School and served as a Clinical Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown before entering into a variety of clinical practices serving the most disadvantaged and at risk populations. After experiencing a profound conversion in 1993, she accepted an invitation to help bring humanitarian relief and medical services to the people in war-torn Bosnia (Medjugorje) over the course of several years. It was in Medjugorje that she met her husband, Dr. Joseph Kuzmic, and have since raised their family in Westerly, where they are active parishioners at Immaculate Conception parish. While raising her family, Dr. Kuzmic worked for over 25 years in post-abortion ministry in the areas of counseling, teaching, and prayer intercession. While pursuing a graduate degree in spiritual theology, Dr. Kuzmic was introduced to the Community of Love Crucified, where she is a professed Mother of the Cross. She has given her life to Christ Crucified as a victim of love, whose mission is to aid in the renewal of the priesthood and domestic church through a hidden life of union of suffering with the Eucharistic Lord. She is passionate about Eucharistic revival and living fully her God -given charisms to bring the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit to her sphere of influence. Dr. Kuzmic has given many retreats, talks, and has been featured as a guest on many radio and television shows throughout the diocese and New England.
