100th Annual Appeal

Trust In Providence
The 2025 Annual Catholic Charity Appeal has officially begun, and this year, we proudly celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our Diocesan Appeal. Over the past century, countless individuals have been supported and uplifted thanks to the generosity of people like you.
For me, the Catholic Charity Appeal holds a deeply personal significance. I still remember accompanying my father as he visited parishioners of St. Anthony’s in Woonsocket, my childhood parish. My dad, after a long day’s work, would carry a stack of cards and tirelessly visit households. I can still picture the warm smiles and heartfelt hugs we received at each door. These devoted parishioners deeply loved their little Italian parish, cherished the Church, and had a profound concern for those in need. Each visit ended with a commitment to support the Appeal, a tradition rooted in faith and compassion.
I see that same spirit of generosity here at Holy Ghost Parish. Your kindness and dedication continue to inspire me. Last year, even amidst financial challenges, we surpassed our goal—a testament to your unwavering commitment. For 2025, our goal remains $33,250, and I am confident we can exceed it once again, breaking the thermometer as we work together for this vital cause.
I invite you to watch the video below featuring Msgr. Albert Kenney. Following Archbishop Henning’s recent departure to Boston, Msgr. Kenney has been appointed Administrator of our Diocese until the Holy Father appoints a new bishop.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
God bless you,
Fr. Jay A. Finelli
