We are pleased to be offering our 3rd Annual Rorate Mass. The Rorate Mass is an ancient Advent tradition of offering a Votive Mass in honor of Our Lady by candlelight. The Mass is so timed that we greet the rising sun as the Mass comes to the conclusion.
The words “Rorate Caeli” come from the first words of the Introit: “Rorate coeli desuper et nubes pluant justum” (Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just)

Fr. Finelli, Does this 6AM mass correspond to anything related to “Our Lady of the Dawn,” a Lithuanian ‘version’?
I ask due to the funeral prayer card of my childhood priest, Fr. Matthew Strumski, utilizing a representative picture.
Thank you,
Andrea Simpson
Actually, “Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn”…
No it does not.
