Details for the Holy Ghost 100th Anniversary Pilgrimage have arrived! We will travel to Rome, Assisi and Siena. Our pilgrimage will take us to the tombs of Saint Francis and Claire, the basilicas dedicated to the same saints, the Porziuncola, Sand Damiano.

From Assisi, we will go to Siena, the home of the great doctor of the Church, Saint Catherine, who led the Popes back to Rome from Avignon. In Siena, we will visit the home where the saint lived throughout her life, the church where she prayed and the beautiful Duomo that houses the Eucharistic Miracle of 1730.

After Siena, the pilgrimage will take us to the heart of Christendom. Rome is the Eternal City, the resting place of thousands of saints and home to the Pope. In Rome, we will visit St. Peter’s and the major basilicas, and the many famous places including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and much more. One of the highlights of our pilgrimage will be the Papal Audience with Pope Benedict XVI.

Each day, we will have the blessing of celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at tombs of saints, in ancient and famous basilicas and even in the catacombs, where the early Christians participated in the Sacraments out of fear for their lives.

This does not even take into account the great food, fellowship and beautiful accommodations. For more information, visit the Catholic Traveler’s website, download our poster, or give the Catholic Traveler a call (404) 717.2460.
