Our first summer pilgrimage was a smashing success. Everyone had a great time and came home enriched with God’s grace. Although we left Tiverton in the rain, we arrived at the Shrine of the North American Martyrs and spent the day in the sun. We began our
day at the shrine with Mass, celebrated by Fr. Finelli, in the beautiful Colosseum.
The Colosseum, built in 1930 is the first circular church in the United States. One might think of contemporary churches in the round, but there is no comparison. If you would like to get a taste of our pilgrimage, just head on over to the iPadre Catholic Podcast by Fr. Finelli and join in on his sound seeing tour to come in the next week.
Don’t forget, we have two more Summer Pilgrimages planned for 2008. Consider joining us! Give yourself a little break and spiritual refreshment at the same time!
Hi, Father!!
We so much enjoyed this pilgrimage. It was very informative and truly a time of much spiritual growth for us. “You are standing on a living relic,” was something one of the tour guides said. What an incredable truth!! This trip has deepen our respect for the martyrs who gave thier lives for us.
Thank you for making this pilgrimage possible. We look forward to the next two trips!
God bless you
Jude
