Youth Ministry
John Paul the Great
Welcome to John Paul the Great Youth Group. The JPTG youth group is a ministry of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church in Tiverton, Rhode Island.
The goals of Youth Ministry at Holy Ghost are:
- To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today.
- To draw young people to a responsiblie participatin in the life, mission and work of the Roman Catholic faith community.
- To foster the total personal and spiritual grouth of each young person.
The youth in our church are encouraged to attend meetings that are held every Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. During that time they will be in a prayerful atmosphere where they will learn how God’s Word and the teachings of the Catholic Church are to be incorporated into their everyday lives. Retreats that are organized through the parish or with the Diocese, the Diocesan Youth Congress and Steubenville East Youth Confrences are just a few of the events we attend.
Meetings are for children fro
m grades 1 and up.
- Grade 9 & up – Every Sunday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
- Grades 5-8 – see the bulletin.
- Grades 1-4 see the bulletin.
