Dr. Sheila Kuzmic is a retired pediatrician who resides in Westerly, RI with her husband, Joseph and their three children.  She has been a life long parishioner of St Pius X parish and is a daily communicant and adorer of the Blessed Sacrament.   Dr Kuzmic is a well known Catholic pro-life speaker and served many years as a guest catechist to confirmation age youth in many parishes throughout the diocese.  She is now a member of the “Love Crucified” Catholic Community of Covington, Georgia where she is now a professed lay Mother of the Cross.  Dr. Kuzmic shares her passionate love for Christ Crucified and how, as one with Our Lady of Sorrows, she has been called to participate more intimately with Jesus in his sufferings for souls, especially that of priests.   Her journey as a mother, medical doctor for poor, disadvantaged children, and advocate for the unborn and those suffering from abortion, prepared her for this journey of healing through the wounds of Christ.

Shane is our 2nd vocation in recent memory. Please continue to pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.

Prayer for Vocations

Jesus, Divine Master, • who said: the harvest indeed is great, • but laborers are few,” • We lovingly accept your invitation: • “Pray the heavenly Father • to send forth laborers into His harvest.: • Inspire a crusade for vocations. • More Priests! • May they be the salt of the earth, • the light of the world, • the city placed on the mountaintop • for the salvation of mankind • redeemed by your blood. • More Religious! • – both men and women – • to promote the glory of God • and peace of men of good will. • May the earth be filled with seminaries and Religious houses. • O Mary God’s chosen one, • mother and guardian of holy vocations, • pray with us, • pray for us, • and for all those called by God. • Amen.
