54 Day Rosary Novena – Day 25

Day 25

How could it be that God loved us so much to become the incarnation? That He would come down from heaven, to be born of a Virgin, and become like us in all things but sin is a great mystery of faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ didn’t just inhabit the body, He became man. The Second Person of the Godhead is fully human and fully divine. His is not part, but fully. Now, if that were not enough, He became a prisoner of love for us in the Most Blessed Sacrament. As His last will and testament, Our Lord made the promise that He would “be with us until the end of the ages” (Mt 18:20). So if Jesus remains with us, why don’t we remain with Him? It is so important that we make frequent visits to the Most Blessed Sacrament. In some churches, Our Lord is left alone and abandoned. The tabernacle is placed in some obscure corner of the church, and not one soul takes the time to make a visit. Jesus longs for souls to come, but most are so occupied with other concerns that He is not given the time of day. Yet He waits, He longs. From the cross He cried out “I thirst.” Make frequent visits to Him who loved us so much to become “bread from heaven.”

Quotes:

If we but paused for a moment to consider attentively what takes place in this Sacrament, I am sure that the thought of Christ’s love for us would transform the coldness of our hearts into a fire of love and gratitude. – St. Angela of Foligno

Take refuge often at the feet of Jesus…My dear ones, the Visit to the Blessed Sacrament is an extremely necessary way to conquer the devil. Therefore, go often to visit Jesus and the devil will not come out victorious against you. – St. John Bosco

I throw myself at the foot of the Tabernacle like a dog at the foot of his Master. – St. John Vianney

He remains among us until the end of the world. He dwells on so many altars, though so often offended and profaned. – St. Maximilian Kolbe

o you want the Lord to give you many graces? Visit Him often. Do you want Him to give you few graces? Visit Him rarely. Do you want the devil to attack you? Visit Jesus rarely in the Blessed Sacrament. Do you want him to flee from you? Visit Jesus often! – St. John Bosco
