We have been given such an awesome gift from Almighty God, that “on the night he was betrayed”, Jesus left us the gift of Himself in the Mass. You and I can actually receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion. How often we take this great gift for granted!
For the past few years, a number of people have asked why we can’t use the Altar Rail for Sunday Masses. So, after much thought and prayer, distribution of Holy Communion will take place at the Altar Rail, beginning on the 1st Sunday of Lent. We will first go to the front row to those who are elderly or handicapped, as we currently do. You may receive in the mouth or on the tongue, standing or kneeling – whatever makes you comfortable. Those with physical difficulties can stand at the opening in the rail and we will come to you and those who feel usable on their feet, can use the Altar Rail for support.
May the heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even until the end of time. Amen.
